WEFSO believes that education is a fundamental right and one of the most powerful tools for empowering women and girls. Our education and skills development programmes aim to provide equitable access to learning opportunities in an environment where many girls face restrictions, discrimination, and significant barriers. We offer literacy classes, accelerated learning programmes, and academic support for girls who have been excluded from formal schooling. Through skills-based training—such as tailoring, ICT, handicrafts, and vocational trades—we help young women build practical abilities that increase their independence and future opportunities. Our safe learning spaces provide a supportive environment where women and girls can grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially. WEFSO also conducts digital literacy initiatives to ensure that women are not left behind in an increasingly technology-driven world. By involving families and communities, we advocate for the importance of girls’ education and work to reduce negative perceptions and cultural constraints. Our training also incorporates life-skills education, such as communication, leadership, financial literacy, and rights awareness, enabling girls to make informed decisions and engage confidently in society. For adolescent girls and young women affected by conflict, displacement, or poverty, WEFSO creates specialised pathways to continue learning and building skills despite the challenges.
